How to Add Text Fields to an Existing PDF
Add typeable text boxes to a PDF you already have, sized and styled to match the document.
Match the printed lines
Open the PDF in the editor and zoom in. Place a Text field and resize it so it sits just above the printed line. The field's height should be about one and a half times the font size.
Choose the right field type
Use Email and Phone fields for contact details — the editor checks the format during Preview. Use the Date field for dates; Acrobat Reader will enforce the format you choose. Switch on Multiline for addresses and comments.
Set limits
Max characters is useful for codes and IDs. Read-only fields show a fixed value that the person filling in the form can't change.
Keep the original intact
PDFQuick Forms adds fields on top of your pages; the original text, images and any existing form fields are preserved.
